Singer, songwriter Diana Williamson was voted “Female singer/songwriter of the Year” by the Los Angeles Music Awards and nominated for “Country Song of the Year”.  She’s also the recipient of two Factor heritage recording grants.  When not performing, Diana writes for film/tv and other artists, penning 2 x #3 Billboard hot club chart songs “Freak Like Me” and “Awakening”.https://youtu.be/tHXYyfuKFWU

Freak Like Me (remix by Dave Aude) became a MTV hit starring Antonio Sabato Jr, and was on the cover of Billboard Magazine and premiered on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.  Awakening (remix by Delerium), EMI was also released on RCA’s “Fairies” album, Budda Bar’s Chill Out in Paris, and in the animated movie “Rebel Angel”.

A knack for writing singles, Diana’s written the singles for blues artist Jimmy Rip’s debut cd “Way Past Blue” (Mick Jagger’s guitarist for solo ventures) on House of Blues’ records, Sasha Lazard’s debut album on EMI, Mayra Veronica/BMG debut, legendary Indian dance artist Bappi’s Lahiri’s record “Walking on Love Street” and TV star Christian Distefano’s debut release.  She produced Ali Woodson of the Temptations for the single off of “Modern Christmas Classics” which was chosen for Queen Latifah’s feature “The Perfect Holiday”.

Her ability to genre jump has seen her place award winning cuts in jazz, country, blues, dance and rock on all the major networks and labels including NBC, ABC, MTV, VH1, Disney, HBO,  Warner Brother Records, Warner Brother Films, as well as many features such as Queen of the Damned, (Aliyah, Stuart Townsend), Detour (Gary Bussey), etc..

She created two international song contests; The International Christmas Song Contest (voted in the Top Ten of song contests by Music Connection) and the Love Song to New Orleans Song Contest supported by the Louisiana Music Commission.  Diana is head consultant for Themusiclibrary.org a boutique music library that places music in film, TV and with various artists.
